There’s a common expression about how to make a point: show, don’t tell. So Susquehanna Bank and the American Bankers Association Education Foundation are inviting teenagers to use video to show the importance of saving. If their message is creative, focused, and well-presented, they could win valuable prizes.
This is the second year that Susquehanna has participated in the ABA Education Foundation’s “Lights, Camera, Save!” video contest. The goal is for students to create videos that inspire and educate other teens to become lifelong savers.
Contestants can submit a video of up to 90 seconds about the importance of saving money. Here are highlights of the contest:
- Contestants must be between 13 – 18 years old.
- Videos of up to 90 seconds may be submitted via YouTube, CD or DVD from October 1 to November 1, 2011.
- Videos should show original work and not incorporate other brand names, logos, or copyrighted works such as movies or music.
- Contestants should download an entry packet, review the official rules with their parents, and mail in a signed entry form when they submit their video.
Susquehanna Bank’s panel of judges will choose up to three top videos from those submitted to win the following prizes:
Grand Prize: $500 Visa® Gift Card
1st Runner Up: $250 Visa® Gift Card
2nd Runner Up: $100 Visa® Gift Card
We plan to post the winning videos on our YouTube channel, and Susquehanna’s Grand Prize-winning video will be submitted to ABA Education Foundation’s national judging, where it will compete for prizes up to a $3,000 savings bond.
Ready to enter the contest? You can learn more and download an entry packet at Susquehanna Bank’s Lights, Camera, Save! website.
